By MARIKA FRICKER Sport Wanganui is leaping on the chance to convey information on sports development to teams and clubs in Marton. Marie Kinloch of Sport Wanganui will be travelling throughout the Rangitikei region where she will teach others the importance of sport development. There was a lack of sport development within the Rangitikei area; a survey was carried out in December and findings showed that people were open to the idea of being taught about sport development, Kinloch said. ''With the information we have received from the survey we are now better able to assist in all areas of sports development through out the Rangitikei area.'' During her travels Kinloch will be offering advice on people's sport development concerns, and on any other information concerning sport development. Kinloch said there was a variation of workshops and people catered to, including clubs, schools and regional sport groups. ''Sports Wanganui offer a large range of resources and advice in training capability for club management, voluntary packages for the roles and duties within your organisation, coaching and team workshops, sports training sessions and official workshops.'' Kinloch will be based and travelling each month between Marton, Hunterville, Bulls, and Taihape. For further information on sports development or Sport Wanganui contact Marie Kinloch on 027 4409 305, 06 349 2327 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
