Hot chips: Whanganui's Donna Steer enjoyed lunch at the Beach Cafe while camping at Himatangi Beach with her 21G2 year old granddaughter Ruby Sandiford. Water fun: Children at Himatangi Beach Camp were entertained with activities each day over the busy holiday season. Last Wednesday a hose and a waterslide were providing hours of entertainment. Sandcastles: Kamen Jones, 10 and her brother Joel, 11, both of Feilding were taking a break from the water at Himatangi Beach with their grandparents Judy and Lloyd Carman, also of Feilding. Dog days: Owen Kennan 11, and Mikyrah McKechnie with Jade the spaniel during a day at the beach from their Palmerston North homes. On a hot sunny day after a long weekend of drizzly rain, Himatangi Beach was a popular spot Wednesday last week. Bobbie Nicholls captured some of the activity of those enjoying the sun.
