Project Marton manager Cath Ash said the two pre-Christmas market days were a great opportunity for businesses to introduce their products to the community in time for Christmas. The market would run on Saturday and December 17 at the Memorial Hall in the morning. Ms Ash said they were specifically looking for people who make it, grow it, create it, bake it''. To really make this work, and then sustainable into the new year, we need stalls,'' she said. Ms Ash said the success of the market would come down to support. We just need people to support it.''If the market goes well, Project Marton hoped to continue running the market on a weekly basis next year. The stalls could sell anything that people made, grew, or created themselves. It'll be great for the community,'' she said. There would be a small cost for stall owners. For information about the market, or if you want to set up a stall, contact Project Marton on 06 327 7633. Boxes of glee: Kopane School float was the winner.
