In previous years the committee has run a very successful garden tour, but this year the focus has moved indoors in a change of approach. The committee has organised a kitchen tour that will take people for a wander through 10 kitchens in homes from Ohingaiti to Marton. ''We invite you individually or as a group to come and spend the day admiring 10 magnificent kitchens,'' organiser Rachel Williams said. There will be a variety of boutique stalls along the tour route for early Christmas shopping and local homeware stores will be displaying table settings around the various homes. Country Kitchens is on this Sunday, from 9.30am till 4.30pm. Tickets are $20 per person and can be bought prior to the day from Hunterville School or for $25 on the day. Pre-ordered lunches are available at a cost of $12. Tickets available on the day from Sugar Plum State Hightway 1 and Green Plum Main Rd Hunterville.
